New Scottish shortbread company Love Shortie has launched exclusively at Harrods with a mission to serve up a fresh taste of this most traditional Scottish treat for food lovers.

Co-founded by Lorna Burt and Janine Greener, the first three delicious Love Shortie flavours are classic All Butter, Lavender and Almond, and Dark Chocolate Chip and Orange.

At the heart of the new business is a traditional family recipe passed down to the company founders by Lorna’s mother, a skilled Scottish home baker renowned for the shortbread she has been making and giving as gifts for special occasions and celebrations for over 70 years.

While baking crazes drift in and out of fashion, Love Shortie is celebrating the world’s enduring love of shortbread – with biscuits that are buttery, crumbly, delicate and true to the traditional way that shortbread has been made by Scottish home bakers for centuries.

Love Shortie is hand-baked in small batches in the Scottish Highlands, using just a few simple ingredients, the very best Scottish butter, a pinch of sea salt for flavour and a light hand dusting of sugar to finish each biscuit. The Love Shortie team is also passionate about creating elegant new flavour combinations and stylish packaging that will appeal to shortbread fans, old and new.
